Beyond the Pale of the Maddening Din
Beyond the pale of the maddening din,
The golden light is shining!
Past the toil and the strife within,
For beyond are heartbeats pining.
What on earth could satisfy
An insatiable hunger?
Only the holy bread of life;
Satisfied eternal.
Whispers cruel from the maddening din
Threaten to undo us.
Fears without and a faint amen,
Deep in our hearts are knives thrust.
Rise up now from this death!
The Risen one has conquered!
Dragon slain by the Slain One’s breath;
Endless living proferred.
I will not stay in the maddening din,
For it is not my home now.
It will be made new again!
Already but not yet; vowed.
Golden light shall illuminate
From the Lamb upon His throne!
Vain striving meets its final fate
As heaven and earth are one.
Vain striving will meet its final fate
As heaven and earth become one.

This is good, both poetically and theologically!
Thanks Steve! Always appreciate seeing your comments. 🙂
Just listened to this. Sounds great. It sounds like something Christian hobbits and dwarves would sing. I know it doesn’t sound like it, but this is the highest complement.
