Marshmallow Gun

Shoot me with your marshmallow gun.

Tenderly fell me and say I’m the one

that you want to hold you when you’re feeling scared.

Tell me the truth and I’ll always be there.

Lovelight in midnight I’ll forever be,

to rock you to slumber on lullabye seas.

Kiss me with your marshmallow kiss,

knock me to the floor with your peppermint fists.

Stare right through me with your marshmallow eyes

that share the same hue as the blue cotton skies.

Devotion of my heart and passion untold

are yours should you desire, my angel, to hold.

I’ll mourn not the loss of my tears or defense,

value no treasure where love makes no sense.

Hold me together with marshmallow glue,

sweet to the taste and gentle as you.

I especially like the line “Tell me the truth and I’ll always be there.” Truth-telling is key to any good relationship.

On another note, I have a request/suggestion for the REO Staff. Would you consider doing a thread about sports G.O.A.T.’s? Who does the REO Staff think is the G.O.A.T. for each major sport?
I think now is a good time to discuss this topic considering all that’s happened and happening right now in the sports world over the past 3 months: Argentina/Messi win the World Cup, Novak Djokovic ties the tennis grand slam record for men, Bobby Hull dies, Tom Brady retires “for good,” and Lebron James will break the all-time scoring record sometime within the next two games.

It’s just a thought, but now seems like a good time for a useless debate. Thanks for considering.

Thanks for the comment – and I love that line as well.

      We’ll ponder that idea.
