The words of the wise are like goads, their collected sayings like firmly embedded nails—given by one Shepherd. Be warned, my son, of anything in addition to them.
Ecclesiastes 12:11-12
In Conclusion
In Genesis, Moses wrote about this mortal beginning.
After these things commenced the events of mankind’s timeline.
We stand upon this ignominious plane, and share visions
beside the waters, over the earth, under the sky.
Moses declared, “We must unite together under God.”
Who among us knows all that we owe Him?
God utilized wise men. Apostle John prophesied dire wars:
He always used symbolic stories to explain time’s conclusion.
Angels will curse us to battle-bloody ends;
In that time Satan will masquerade in dragon-dress,
and the angelic horse-riders will announce final days;
the stars shall be falling like raining silver coins.
And, like pennies into a well, they’ll splash
into the void nevermore to meet one another again.
It’s ironic, because in life we crave coins, but
they’ll dissipate, dwindle, and disappear with the dying stars.
The solids will conclude in God’s sound time.
He’ll pounce like a thief, descending into Judgment Day.
Don’t be always overly afraid, but don’t be idle.
Always resist arguing tedious trivialities, for these are passing.
Let us marvel at the absolutely, positively tumultuous,
lay-down-and-fade moments that draw concluding prayers.
