These poems bring back a lot of memories of late nights in the dorm. So good Ben!
I didn’t play but this brings back so many memories of Southtown playing and your brother chanting “I MUST KILL EVERYONE” (that we assumed was in reference to the game and nothing else LOL). Drums, war chants, sacrifices…and that was all before the game even began.
Ben, you are a talented poet.

I can’t really relate to part V though, I never experienced that.
I guess that means we never played each other because if we had, you most certainly experienced it.
It is a memory all too real for me.
